How Business Rules for Women Pivoted to Virtual Using Socio’s Event Platform

Business Rules for Women (BRFW), led by CEO Gabrielle Deculus, faced a last‑minute challenge when their April 2020 in‑person conference became untenable due to the pandemic. With four weeks to pivot and preserve the community experience, BRFW turned to Socio’s event platform (with Socio’s Orange Glove premium support) to recreate a dynamic virtual event space rather than a simple webinar landing page.

Using Socio as the central hub, BRFW integrated live‑streamed sessions, My Agenda personalization, social feeds, a virtual marketplace, sponsor placements, booking for virtual therapists and coaches, and a kickoff happy hour to drive adoption—supported by Socio’s Orange Glove team for custom design and execution. The results were strong: BRFW exceeded its 100‑registrant goal with 163 attendees, achieved 100% app adoption, generated about 1,300 new in‑app connections (≈8 per attendee), recorded 100 personal agendas, and reported 93% networking success and 100% of attendees willing to return.
