A SocialCops Case Study
Udaipur Urja Initiatives partnered with SocialCops to support its Cookstove Project in rural Rajasthan, India. The organization needed a reliable way to collect baseline household data on family members, wood consumption, and cooking habits so it could allocate efficient, eco-friendly cookstoves effectively in remote villages with no internet access.
Using SocialCops’ Collect mobile data collection app, field teams gathered baseline economic surveys, tracked stove usage over time, and captured geo-tagged photos and location data with built-in validations and skip logic. SocialCops helped Udaipur Urja Initiatives conduct 28,500 baseline surveys, collect 511,000 data points, and support distribution decisions that contributed to an estimated 22,000 kg of wood saved per family per year across 18,500 targeted families.
