Surveying and Mapping India's Parking Lots

Get My Parking, a Delhi-based startup, set out to solve India’s parking crisis by building a digital map of parking lots nationwide. The challenge was collecting accurate ground-level data on parking lot locations, size, infrastructure, pricing, ownership, and real-time availability across cities where no complete online list existed. To do this, they used SocialCops’ Collect mobile data collection app.

With SocialCops’ Collect, Get My Parking mapped parking lot geolocations, captured structured field data, and set up validations for accurate surveys even offline. The result was a map of more than 4,209 parking lots across 12 cities, backed by 214,000 data points collected. The tool also proved easy for field teams to use, helping Get My Parking scale faster without building its own data collection system from scratch.
