Ocean Basket, a global seafood restaurant chain, faced the challenge of gathering customer data and automating retargeting for its three new locations in Mauritius. They needed a solution that would integrate with their existing Ubiquiti WiFi equipment, create separate databases for each restaurant with specific staff permissions, and provide their marketing team with an easy way to collate all data without requiring excessive manual effort. They partnered with vendor Social WiFi to address these needs.

Social WiFi implemented its platform, leveraging its direct integration with the existing Ubiquiti access points for a remote setup. They built a branded login page for customer authentication via social media or email and used their flexible permissions system to control database access for staff. Despite the added challenge of the Covid-19 pandemic, Social WiFi provided payment flexibility and strategic support. The solution resulted in over 20,000 confirmed email addresses captured and revealed that the average customer visited 2.5 times, providing valuable data and insights for the marketing team.
