A Social WiFi Case Study
Hotel Europa, a hotel in Poland, was frustrated by its reliance on online travel agencies (OTAs) for bookings, which anonymized guest data and prevented direct marketing. Their challenge was to build a qualified guest database to promote direct bookings and on-site activities, while also providing seamless WiFi access throughout a guest's stay. They turned to the vendor Social WiFi for a solution.
Social WiFi implemented its Social Media login system, allowing guests to access the network via Facebook, Google, or Twitter on a branded login page. This provided the hotel with verified email addresses and built a high-quality database. The solution also featured seamless reconnection. As a result, Social WiFi helped Hotel Europa collect over 1,000 guest emails monthly for remarketing, significantly improved the direct booking ratio, and gathered hundreds of reviews for an average 4.6 rating.
