A Social WiFi Case Study
Brisbane Airtrain, which carries thousands of passengers daily between Brisbane Airport and the city, was offering free WiFi but wanted a better customer experience and a solution that would generate ROI and capture passenger data across multiple locations. Social WiFi worked with the Airtrain team to address concerns about capturing high volumes of user data and an appropriate pricing model by proposing its guest WiFi platform and integrating it with Brisbane Airtrain’s existing Ubiquiti UniFi CloudKey to provide a fully branded login experience.
Social WiFi implemented a branded mobile login (Facebook, Google, email), enabled daily exports of captured user data, and sent branded review requests to WiFi users, which improved feedback and re‑engagement capabilities. The results included 60,000+ connections, a 4.0 average review score, a +27% increase in Google score, and a jump in review cadence from fewer than 1 per month to 24 reviews in 3 months (about 8 per month), demonstrating clear measurable impact from Social WiFi’s solution.
