A Social Tables Case Study
The American Gem Society’s event team, led by association event planner Matt Dadey, faced a recurring communications challenge when organizing its large annual Conclave: days of email-driven back-and-forth with host hotels to update a master diagram, a slow process that risked lost details and costly miscommunication.
Working with Social Tables and Hyatt Regency–Arlington, Crystal City, the team eliminated that friction—shared, real-time diagrams kept both sides aligned, cutting four steps from the process and enabling much faster room design (ten rooms in about an hour). The efficiency gains also drive revenue: a study with STR found hotels using Social Tables see about a 2% increase in F&B profit per occupied room (roughly $50,000/year for a 250-room property), turning planning speed into measurable bottom-line benefits.
