The Watergate Hotel reopened in 2016 after a $125 million renovation that added 100 rooms and 17,000 square feet of meeting space. Having been closed to clients for seven years and still a construction site during pre-opening sales, the hotel’s sales team struggled to convey the look, flow, and capacity of its event spaces during traditional hardhat site visits.

By using Social Tables to provide personalized 2D and 3D diagrams and virtual walkthroughs from the proposal stage, the team could sell the vision of the space before it was finished. That approach led to a $250,000 site‑unseen booking, nearly 114 events pre-sold, more than $117 million in pre-booked revenue, and 95% of 2016 meeting dates sold nearly three months before doors opened.
