A Social Tables Case Study
Loyola University Chicago’s Office of Special Events faced tedious, paper-heavy processes for planning large-scale programs—relying on binders, manual seating charts and hard-to-visualize floorplans for events of up to 900 guests. These workflows consumed hours, made last-minute changes difficult, and produced unnecessary paper waste.
After implementing Social Tables, the team moved to cloud-based diagrams on iPads, mobile check-in (including VIP alerts) and a 3D layout tool for visualization. The result: a permanent ban on binders, seating time cut in half, about 75% faster document creation on iPad, roughly six hours saved planning seating for a 900-person event, reduced paper use and smoother onsite changes with up to 20 iPads in use.
