Safran, a global aerospace company, faced a significant internal communication challenge when it acquired Zodiac Aerospace, needing to unite and inform a combined workforce of 93,000 employees. Their goals were to ensure every employee had a complete view of the acquisition on a unified platform that was easy to use and mobile-accessible, including onboarding both white-collar and blue-collar workers. To address this, they partnered with the vendor Sociabble for its employee engagement platform.

Sociabble implemented a mobile solution that was announced company-wide on the day of the acquisition. They created dedicated channels for the merger, enabling employees to comment and like posts, and managed the onboarding of employees without corporate email. The results were highly successful, with 15,000 employees registering on the platform in under six months and generating thousands of positive interactions. This effective communication strategy was recognized with two industry awards for managerial communication and best internal initiative.
