AXA Group Energizing Internal Communication and Engaging Employees with Sociabble

AXA, a global insurance and asset-management group serving 93 million clients with 140,000 employees across 51 countries, set out to modernize internal communication as part of a wider digital transformation. The legacy intranet was static and top-down, so AXA needed a secure, easy-to-use platform that delivered dynamic, multimedia content, re-engaged employees, and respected GDPR/ISO27001 standards. AXA Belgium (3,000 employees) was one of the pilot countries to prove the approach.

AXA adopted Sociabble’s POP platform—built from a common global base with local customizations—and rolled it out voluntarily across 15 countries (70,000 users, targeting 100,000). Creative onboarding (an Easter chocolate launch and a digital egg hunt) and social-like features (video, quizzes, polls, channels, gamification, dashboards) drove uptake: 98% adoption at launch, POP became the #1 information source for 72% of employees, deep-read rates reached ~82%, and two-way engagement and targeted governance significantly improved.
