Anytime Fitness, a 24-hour health and fitness club franchise with more than 4,700 gyms in 35 countries, needed a better way to understand what people were saying about its brand during the COVID-19 pandemic. With gyms forced to close and franchise locations managing local social media alongside corporate efforts, the company wanted to monitor online reputation, provide customer care, and maintain trust and loyalty.
By using SOCi Listening, Anytime Fitness monitored brand conversations across all locations and gathered insights to guide its response. In just a few months, it listened to over 3 million online conversations, saw 300k positive brand mentions, tracked 190k mentions of #anytimefitness, and recorded 2.9M people talking about Anytime Fitness on Twitter. The company used those insights to create free virtual fitness classes and request permission to reshare user-generated content across local pages.
