The customer, Vision Rescue / Dryeye Rescue, faced the challenge of needing a modern, headless storefront for their regulated optical products while continuing to rely on their Cin7 ERP as their central system for inventory and orders. They required a real-time, bidirectional sync between these two systems to avoid issues like duplicate orders and stale stock, a complex integration that off-the-shelf tools could not handle. The vendor, Sobefy, was engaged to develop a solution using the Medusa platform.

Sobefy implemented a two-way synchronization between the client's Cin7 ERP and their Medusa store. This solution kept products, tiered pricing, and live stock updated in the storefront in real time, while web orders flowed back to the ERP for fulfillment. The integration also ensured shipment, tracking, and cancellations were synchronized. As it involved regulated medical products, Sobefy's solution provided full traceability by syncing crucial data like lot numbers and expiry dates, ensuring both systems remained perfectly in sync.
