Nordstrom, the fashion specialty retailer, wanted to improve its online customer experience after satisfaction survey scores dropped and synthetic monitoring failed to show the full picture. It turned to SOASTA, using CloudTest and SOASTA mPulse, to understand real user performance and identify whether front-end issues were affecting shoppers.

SOASTA implemented end-to-end performance testing and real user monitoring across Nordstrom’s web, mobile, and production environments. The solution helped Nordstrom uncover critical defects in production during the 2014 Anniversary Sale, gain visibility into customer-perceived performance, set service-level objectives, and reduce the need for in-house data infrastructure, delivering faster insights and cost savings.
