M-Dot Network Delivers Fast Digital Coupon Redemption at Point of Sale with SOASTA

M-Dot Network needed to prove that its cloud-based digital coupon redemption platform could handle massive volumes of real-time POS transactions quickly and reliably for retailers. As it prepared to scale an open integration platform for paperless coupon redemption, M-Dot turned to SOASTA and its CloudTest load testing service to validate performance in an AWS-hosted environment.

SOASTA helped M-Dot simulate large-scale traffic and certify the system’s speed and scalability, including a 1 million-transaction test. The results showed less than 100 ms response time with 10,000 concurrent lanes of traffic over nine hours, and average response time stayed below one tenth of a second under the heaviest load; SOASTA also provisioned 587 servers in under 10 minutes to reach the target volume.
