Deckers Brands, the global footwear and apparel company behind UGG, Teva, and Sanuk, needed a way to improve and prove the value of online performance across more than 18 sites worldwide. Working with SOASTA and its mPulse real user monitoring (RUM) solution, Deckers set out to move beyond legacy synthetic tools and use data to identify bottlenecks, define meaningful performance goals, and better understand how site speed affected customer experience and conversion.
SOASTA helped Deckers combine RUM with synthetic monitoring to benchmark key pages, spot third-party pixel issues, and create enforceable performance budgets and SLAs. The result was a more proactive performance program that improved time-to-interactive by 33%, reduced third-party resources from 35 to 25, and gave teams consistent reporting and clearer control over performance priorities.
