CloudTest Helps SAP Co-Innovation Lab Demonstrate Scalability and Reliability

SAP Co-Innovation Lab (COIL) at SAP needed to validate that its business intelligence platform could handle massive, growing demand from many concurrent users while maintaining performance, scalability, and reliability. To do that, SAP worked with SOASTA and its CloudTest product, which provided a cost-effective, high-volume testing environment for large-scale BI deployment.

SOASTA implemented CloudTest to generate and monitor realistic BI workloads, ramping tests up across the platform and helping SAP uncover performance bottlenecks early. The effort successfully tested SAP BI 4 to 10,000 simultaneous users—twice the previous benchmark—and gave SAP a turnkey, scalable testing solution with better visibility into CPU, memory, disk I/O, and other performance metrics.
