Segment, a San Francisco–based customer data infrastructure company, needed stronger open source security coverage because their existing solution (GitHub’s tools) missed vulnerabilities and wasn’t driving developer fixes. Snyk’s platform, with GitHub integration and an API-first approach, was rolled out rapidly—monitoring 1,200 repositories within two days—and uncovered vulnerabilities other tools missed. Developers adopted Snyk’s easy fixes (one cleanup resolved all issues in under a day and all items were fixed within 19 hours), and Segment integrated Snyk’s API into its asset management tool to surface security status in its main workflow, delivering measurable faster detection and remediation.
