Flo Health uses Snyk to rapidly scale application security during hypergrowth

Flo, the popular women's period‑tracking app, needed to protect highly sensitive health data while sustaining rapid product development during hypergrowth. To get continuous, developer-friendly security without slowing releases, Flo turned to Snyk (using Snyk Container, Snyk Open Source and Snyk Infrastructure as Code) to embed automated checks into its existing pipelines.

Snyk was integrated across the development lifecycle, scaling automated scanning to 300+ repositories and 600+ containers and enforcing IaC policies for 20+ AWS accounts with Terraform. The result: remediation cycles dropped from about a month to minutes, fixes rose from 5–10 per month to 300–1,900 monthly (a ~400% monthly increase), code commits grew 150%, deployments remain under a minute, and Flo avoided hiring ~20 security staff — all while shipping features faster. Snyk enabled Flo to shift security left and operate securely at scale.
