Acuity Knowledge Partners, a London-based provider of research and analytics to the financial services sector, shifted toward a technology-first strategy and needed to make application security a core part of its development process for its 200+ person BEAT R&D organization. To meet strict financial-services compliance and customer assurance requirements, Acuity chose Snyk—using Snyk Open Source and Snyk Infrastructure as Code—to embed security early in development.

Snyk was integrated into Acuity’s Microsoft-focused toolchain via a Visual Studio IDE plugin, CLI, webhooks and CI/CD pipeline to automate scanning of .NET dependencies and Terraform files across hundreds of AWS-managed servers. The Snyk deployment eliminated manual security checks, shortened the development-to-production cycle, secured Terraform deployments, and improved Acuity’s overall security posture—providing measurable coverage across the 200+ employee technology department and greater assurance for its financial-services customers.
