Case Study: Helvetia achieves automated shift-left application security and license visibility with Snyk

A Snyk Case Study

Preview of the Helvetia Case Study

Helvetia’s move to cloud leads them to Snyk

Helvetia, a top-three Swiss insurer, moved many applications to the cloud and faced slow, manual application-security processes that relied on late-stage testing, OWASP checks and external reviews. They needed automated, shift-left detection, lifecycle and license reporting, container and code dependency scanning, Kubernetes/OpenShift support, CI/CD and IDE/CLI integrations — requirements they evaluated against multiple vendors, including Snyk.

Helvetia implemented Snyk (including Snyk Container and OpenShift integrations, dependency and license management, CLI/IDE plugins and Bitbucket/CI integrations) to automate vulnerability and lifecycle detection across Java, TypeScript, Python and .NET stacks. Snyk’s tooling feeds reports into lifecycle tools like LeanIX, surfaces end-of-life and license issues, and enforces checks in builds so teams can prioritize pen tests and audits on critical apps — delivering continuous security, greater transparency, and the ability to start small and scale with Snyk.
