Supercell Levels Up Player Analytics with Snowplow

Supercell, the Helsinki-based game developer behind titles like Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars, and Squad Busters, needed a better way to understand player behavior across websites, client-side interactions, and in-game activity. Before Snowplow, its digital analytics setup created data silos, had accuracy and GDPR concerns, lacked easy Databricks integration, and couldn’t reliably connect web actions to in-game behavior. Supercell turned to Snowplow’s customer data infrastructure (CDI) to gain more control over its behavioral data.

With Snowplow, Supercell collected first-party and zero-party behavioral data in its own cloud environment and loaded it into Databricks for unified analytics. Snowplow enabled cross-platform tracking using shared customer identifiers, supported scalable event collection during major launches, and improved tracking consistency across teams. The results included 100% data integrity, 2x faster event tracking setup, and major campaign impact, including 40 million Squad Busters pre-registrations in one month.
