How Viewbix helps its customers optimize their video ads with Snowplow

Viewbix, a pioneer of interactive video adverts, needed to measure a rich set of in-ad interactions (emails submitted, coupon downloads, social shares, CTA clicks, and when in the video they occurred) and present that insight to brands — a challenge made harder by the volume and granularity of events. To meet this need, Viewbix chose Snowplow and its event-data platform to capture and model every interaction for use in analytics and reporting.

Using Snowplow to collect, process and store granular event data (hosted in Viewbix’s AWS account), Viewbix built Viewbix Insights on top of Snowplow data to give advertisers precise, actionable campaign metrics. The Snowplow-powered solution revealed concrete gains — e.g., 25% of viewers engage with at least one app (about 16× industry rates) and 95% of actions cluster between 0:30–0:35 seconds — and drove improved KPIs such as more leads, higher CTR and conversion rates, lower cost per acquisition, predictable costs and full data ownership.
