A Snowplow Case Study
PEBMED, an app- and web-based medical content platform (Whitebook, Nursebook and Portal PEBMED), struggled with fragmented analytics, conflicting metrics and a lack of data ownership that made it hard to understand granular user journeys across products and devices. To establish a single source of truth and gain full control of raw, unopinionated event data, PEBMED selected Snowplow (Snowplow Insights / Snowplow data pipeline) to replace multiple third‑party analytics tools.
Using Snowplow, PEBMED implemented custom event tracking and a centralized pipeline that delivered complete data ownership, LGPD compliance and a consistent data model. As a result (and with support from partners and a rapidly expanded data team), PEBMED avoided data loss, created one data mart per internal team, built 100+ dashboards, identified the top‑50 content pieces and top‑5 sections that drive retention, and defined up to six user personas per product — enabling data‑driven decisions, improved retention and a roadmap for personalization and predictive analytics powered by Snowplow.
