Redwood Logistics, a Chicago–based transportation brokerage with 350 employees, needed to deliver real-time freight and inventory reports to customers but was hampered by an on‑premises data warehouse. Extracting a single 60 MB XML with 3,000 business objects took 12 hours, and resource contention and frequent errors made timely querying and analytics impossible.

Redwood moved to Snowflake and its Snowpipe continuous ingestion service to load structured and semi-structured data rapidly and without contention. The shift enabled on‑the‑fly extracts, real‑time reporting and BI integration, faster customer onboarding, and improved data‑driven decisions on carriers, modes, warehouses and routes — all with scalable performance and lower cost.
