Capspecialty Accelerates Time to Market by 20x With Snowflake

CapSpecialty, a Hartford-based insurer serving small and mid-sized companies across construction, environmental, healthcare and specialty lines, struggled with an on‑premises data warehouse that updated only monthly, created multi‑day waits for analytics, and forced underwriters into time‑consuming manual reporting and spreadsheet‑driven processes. The company needed a secure, scalable, and responsive cloud solution to enable near‑real‑time data, advanced analytics, app integration, and lower operational costs.

CapSpecialty migrated to Snowflake and built a pipeline using SnowSQL, the Python connector and Amazon S3, with Power BI for visualization.
