Figma Builds a Scalable Security Operations Program With Snowflake

Figma, the cloud-based design platform, was struggling with exponential growth in users and security data that left logs fragmented across identity, cloud, and SaaS sources. Traditional SIEMs’ cost and retention limits forced siloed storage and slowed detection and investigations, making it hard to get high-fidelity alerts and a unified view of risk.

Figma centralized its telemetry in Snowflake as a scalable security data lake and layered Panther for detection and search, enabling “fearless logging,” SQL/Python-based queries, and automated workflows. That yielded faster, higher-confidence investigations, fewer false positives, and closer collaboration with data teams—giving Figma a security program that scales with the business.
