Getaround, a San Francisco–based carsharing startup, needed a seamless digital claims experience to match its app-based service. Managing claims across two decentralized legacy systems left data fragmented, claims backlogged and overpaid, and host experiences deteriorating. To modernize claims operations, Getaround partnered with Snapsheet, leveraging Snapsheet’s claims management platform and virtual appraisal services.
Snapsheet migrated Getaround’s legacy claims data, added a carsharing-specific configuration, and deployed its cloud-native Snapsheet Claims platform (building on Snapsheet Appraisal Services) in under two months. The solution automated workflows and enabled no-code configurability, handled 1,200+ virtual estimates per month, and improved claims payments by an average of 4–5 days; in some markets it enables touchless claim resolution in as little as 24 hours. Snapsheet’s platform also delivered richer data insights, faster cycle times, and better host and guest experiences.
