The Advisory Board Company, a provider of performance-improvement services to more than 2,800 member organizations, needed to migrate a large, heavily customized Microsoft CRM installation to salesforce.com while keeping an on-premise SQL Server data warehouse. With more than two million records (and several Salesforce objects projected to exceed 500,000), the IT team found existing tools like SSIS and Salesforce Data Loader inadequate and sought an efficient, cost-effective integration pipeline to synchronize on‑premise and cloud systems.
