Davidson College, a selective liberal arts school of about 2,000 students (95% living on campus), faced the urgent challenge of keeping campus open during COVID-19 by testing and monitoring students and staff weekly. With a centralized IT team and an existing integration strategy, they had under 10 days to automate a symptom-and-testing tracking system that would ensure compliance across campus.

Using Kuali Build connected to SnapLogic, the team launched a surveillance system in under 10 days that linked ID-card swipes to a Redis-backed lookup and SnapLogic pipelines for reporting, reconciliation, and dashboarding. The solution integrated with core systems (AD, Exchange, Oracle, SQL Server, REST), scaled across 200+ apps, supported 77,000 tests with a 50-second check-in workflow, and validated the college’s integration strategy while creating a reusable check-in process.
