A SnapFulfil Case Study
Vision Direct Group, Europe’s leading online retailer of contact lenses and eye care products, needed a new warehouse management system after concerns that its existing SaaS WMS had reached capacity, had integration issues, and offered poor support. The company, which handles about 100,000 B2C orders per month across sites in York and Amsterdam, chose SnapFulfil to support its e-commerce fulfilment operation and align processes across both distribution centres.
SnapFulfil was implemented at Vision Direct Group’s York warehouse in February 2016 and at the Amsterdam site a few weeks later, with two instances running across the network. The system helped improve pick/pack productivity by around 25%, reduced an already low error rate to below 0.1%, and allowed almost 60 staff to work effectively using fewer than 30 user licences. Vision Direct Group also reported better stock control and movement records, with 100% of operators who had used the old system preferring SnapFulfil.
