Edinburgh Bicycle Co-operative saves £20,000 per annum with a cloud WMS

Edinburgh Bicycle Co-operative, a workers’ co-operative founded in 1977, used the WMS module of its ERP system to manage a 32,000 sq ft warehouse supporting store replenishment and e-commerce fulfilment. As the business grew and inventory levels increased, the manual put-away process and lack of bar-code scanning made it difficult to find and identify stock, creating extra work and higher labour and overtime costs.

Edinburgh Bicycle Co-operative selected SnapFulfil, a cloud-based warehouse management system, after finding it met both operational and financial requirements and integrated straightforwardly with its 4D ERP. Implementation was completed in two months, and the company quickly reduced daily workload by one person and eliminated much of the overtime burden, saving an estimated £20,000 per year. SnapFulfil also gave the team better visibility into individual work rates and warehouse bottlenecks, helping them manage performance and plan for future e-commerce and assembly operations.
