A SnapDragon Case Study

How SnapDragon is helping Red Paddle to utilise its trademarks to take copycats to task

Red Paddle Co, the world’s leading inflatable SUP maker known for its patented RSS technology and exclusive MSL material, faced widespread brand abuse as impersonators copied their name, images and MSL trademark to sell inferior products online. To protect their reputation and registered IP, Red Paddle Co engaged SnapDragon’s trademark enforcement and brand-protection services to tackle counterfeit listings on major marketplaces.

SnapDragon implemented active monitoring, registered Red Paddle Co’s trademarks with Alibaba platforms, and reported infringers to have listings removed, focusing on Alibaba and AliExpress. The vendor’s actions removed hundreds of infringing listings (100% removal on Alibaba platforms), halved monthly infringements over time, and helped protect an estimated £213,167 in sales; SnapDragon’s work also delivers roughly £2–3k per month saved in IP legal fees and an overall ~90% success rate.
