GMFS Mortgage, a Baton Rouge-based lender processing more than 16,000 loans a year across retail and wholesale divisions, was struggling with long, error-prone closings that were not meeting the expectations of borrowers, staff, or business partners. As the pandemic increased the urgency to improve the experience, GMFS needed a faster, more reliable digital closing process, and chose Snapdocs eClosing technology over a less comprehensive alternative from its LOS provider.
With Snapdocs, GMFS implemented eSigning and a smoother closing workflow without disrupting day-to-day business. The results were immediate: closing time dropped from 95 minutes to 15 minutes, settlement scanback opt-outs fell from 4% to 0%, and scanbacks increased 25% from January to August 2021. GMFS also reported stronger settlement engagement, easier adoption for closing teams, and technology that “just works.”
