A SnapComms Case Study
Riviera Beach Police Department, a Florida agency serving about 40,000 residents with 120 sworn officers and more than 100,000 calls for service a year, struggled with paper-based internal communications that were quickly out of date, poorly seen and hard to update. To solve this, the department chose SnapComms and its SnapComms Screensavers (Corporate Screensaver) to deliver urgent intel and routine bulletins more visibly and reliably across the force.
SnapComms implemented a screensaver channel dubbed “Intel TV,” pushed to patrol car laptops, desktop PCs and public digital signage, showing photos, alerts, maps and links to breaking news. The system let intelligence staff rapidly publish suspect images, missing-person alerts and safety reminders; within a day of rollout an officer recognized and apprehended a suspect from a screensaver photo. Riviera Beach leaders say SnapComms has become essential to operations—faster and more effective than email, driving immediate officer response and ongoing improvements to information sharing.
