Vans partnered with Snapchat to invite everyone to celebrate 50 years of Off The Wall Heritage and Creative Expression

Vans tapped Snapchat to celebrate its 50th “Off The Wall” anniversary and needed a way to connect with creative consumers while reinforcing the brand’s roots in action sports, art, music and street culture across the US, Canada and Mexico. The challenge was to drive broad awareness and inspire creative expression that felt authentic to Vans’ heritage.

Vans ran a National Sponsored Geofilter, localized On‑Demand Geofilters at key landmarks and Snap Ads in Local City Stories, featuring bold, dynamic artwork tied to the brand’s story. The campaign reached 32M+ Snapchatters and 98M views, with one in five users who unlocked a Geofilter sending it to friends, and strong lifts vs. mobile retail norms: +29 points ad recall, +20 points brand favorability, and +37% purchase intent.
