Universal Pictures, a major film studio that has long used augmented reality to amplify movie launches, had created many AR Lenses but needed a permanent, easily discoverable home to showcase and preserve those experiences for fans.
They partnered with Snapchat to launch a Public Profile for Business, creating a hub where Snapchatters can view, engage with, and save Universal’s AR Lenses. After the profile launch, Universal’s AR Lenses earned an additional 300M+ lifetime views, with more than 199M views coming from the top-performing Lenses.
