Snapchat Boosts Ad Awareness for Hyperconnect

Hyperconnect, a South Korean leader in global video communication, aimed to grow its user base and engagement for two flagship apps—social discovery app Azar and live-streaming Hakuna Live—across MENA, Europe and the US. The challenge was to increase awareness of a new avatar feature on Azar and scale Hakuna installs by reaching socially oriented, highly communicative audiences in key markets.

Hyperconnect partnered with Snapchat, using targeted Snap Ads, AR Face Lenses and influencer-led video creative to promote the avatar feature and drive installs. The multi-format approach delivered efficient cost-per-install and strong engagement, producing an 8+ point lift in Ad Awareness in Saudi Arabia, a 3.4X ROAS for Azar in France versus other channels, and a 53% uplift in Hakuna app installs in Saudi Arabia.
