Retailer Princess Uses AR To Sell Bedding

Princess, a home-interior retailer, faced the common online-shopping challenge of letting customers see how bedding would look in their own bedrooms—product photos didn’t convey fit or style in real spaces. To bridge that gap, Princess partnered with Viva Media to create an interactive Snapchat AR Lens that let shoppers preview bedding in selfie and World modes and click through to purchase.

The AR Lens allowed users to “try on” styles, place a virtual bed in their room, and switch designs with a tap, while a CTA drove direct purchases; retargeting used Ad Engagement Audiences and conversion-optimized Snap Ads. The campaign averaged 18 seconds of lens playtime, lifted ad awareness by +8 percentage points, delivered >1 ROAS from the lens alone, and produced an even stronger ROAS when combined with retargeting.
