How Pocket Gems is preparing for iOS 14

Pocket Gems, a leading mobile game developer, needed to prepare its app portfolio for iOS 14’s privacy changes and their impact on measurement and attribution. To tackle this, the team doubled down on a test-and-learn approach on Snapchat, working closely with their Mobile Measurement Partner and experimenting with SKAdNetwork to understand post-install conversion tracking.

They ran targeted tests of App Events (install, sign-up, add-to-cart, purchase), mapped SKAdNetwork conversion values, and routed events through their MMP or Snapchat’s App Ads Kit while reviewing both Ads Manager and MMP dashboards. The effort produced clear benchmarks, greater confidence in their measurement strategy, and continued growth and monetization on Snapchat, which they regard as a trusted, privacy-focused partner.
