Preview of the Hoka One One Case Study

HOKA ONE ONE gives customers a new way to shop through virtual pop-up store

HOKA ONE ONE, an athletic shoe and apparel brand known for innovative cushioning and performance design, faced a new challenge when COVID-19 restrictions limited in-store try-ons and foot traffic. To maintain discovery and purchase opportunities, HOKA teamed with digital agency Jellyfish and Snapchat to find a way to bring the shopping experience directly to customers at home.

They combined Snap Ads and Dynamic Ads with an AR Lens virtual pop-up shop that let users digitally “try on” shoes (Camera World) and sweatshirts (Face view) and tap a Shop Now button to buy. The campaign delivered strong full-funnel results: the Lens had nearly 6x the Snapchat retail share rate and an 82% lower cost per share versus benchmarks, drove cost-effective targeted traffic, and will be relaunched for future product activations.
