Petco, a category‑defining pet health and wellness company, partnered with Snapchat to break through a crowded holiday media landscape and drive both engagement and sales from pet parents. The challenge was to make holiday shopping for pets fun and shoppable while driving measurable lower‑funnel outcomes and proving incremental ROI.

Their solution was a shoppable AR Lens that showcased five best‑selling products via a randomizer, let users tap products with the back camera to fill Santa’s bag, and used selfie facial‑recognition so pet parents could pose with their pets. Petco also used goal‑based bidding and Snapchat’s Conversions API to optimize for purchases and measure online and offline impact. The Lens reached over 1 million Snapchatters, delivered an 11‑point lift in action intent, and achieved an omni‑ROAS of 11x, driving incremental holiday revenue and strong ROI.
