Acorns, the micro‑investing app that rounds up purchases to invest spare change, needed a mobile-first campaign to grow brand awareness and drive app installs among a largely young, tech‑savvy audience. The challenge was to translate a finance product into Snapchat’s playful, fast‑moving environment while still motivating installs.

Acorns ran a Snap Ads App Install campaign using Top Snaps that showed how simple and fun the app is, and targeted lookalikes plus Snapchatters 25+. The campaign delivered 2.6M Top Snap views, a 3% swipe‑up rate and an 8.5% conversion rate, drove 13% higher conversions in target audiences, and—per impression—produced 38% more installs than the next best app install platform.
