Smashed Crab Studio worked with Komatsu to address the challenge of visualizing complex data feeds from their longwall mining equipment. The goal was to provide engineers on the surface with a clear visual understanding of underground operations to improve safety and oversight.

The solution involved creating an accurate 3D visualization using full CAD models of the machinery and location tracking data. This tool allows Komatsu to move operators from the dangerous underground environment to the surface, significantly reducing risks and associated costs.
