Maxis, Malaysia’s largest telecommunications company with over 3,000 employees, faced low engagement from traditional, text-heavy training and needed mobile-first, bite-sized learning that employees could access anywhere. To solve this, Maxis partnered with SmartUp and adopted the SmartUp learning experience platform and expert advisory services to make internal communication and learning more consumable and smartphone-friendly.

SmartUp delivered the platform plus workshops on content creation, platform adaptation and launch support (including leaderboards and a live Gameshow), and provided analytics to track adoption and improve content. The initiative drove a 93% adoption rate, over 400 modules launched and more than 30,000 modules completed in 2018, significantly increasing engagement and giving Maxis measurable insights into learning and performance via SmartUp’s dashboard.
