How CDI is changing the landscape of children’s mental health

Child Development Institute (CDI), an accredited Toronto-based children’s mental health agency running the SNAP program, faced fragmented, spreadsheet-based administration as it expanded across Canada and internationally. To centralize tracking from pre-implementation through service delivery and support affiliate sites, CDI worked with Gen3 to implement SmartSimple Cloud, using SmartSimple Cloud for Research Grants Management to replace Excel and Word–based processes.

Gen3 built a centralized system on SmartSimple Cloud that standardized data collection, enabled real-time pre/post-treatment reporting and ad-hoc analysis, and streamlined finance and administrative workflows; as a result, CDI now supports 70+ sites, has met national targets, and cut administrative time by 50%. By using SmartSimple Cloud for Research Grants Management, CDI improved collaboration and data fidelity across affiliates and accelerated its ability to analyze outcomes and scale services.
