Williams, a Tulsa-based energy company, needed a simpler and more scalable way to manage Earned Value Management for its large construction projects. Using Smartsheet, Williams built a quantity-based EVM template that tracks physical progress on site through dashboards, automates updates, and reduces manual reporting. The result was more accurate project visibility, better forecasting, and less time spent entering data; the solution was strong enough to win Smartsheet’s ENGAGE’22 Template Contest and is now available in the Smartsheet Template Gallery.
