Securitas Uses Smartsheet to Simplify Project Portfolio Management and Help Leaders Make Strategic Decisions

Securitas, a global provider of protective and security services with more than 10,000 employees, faced a surge of roughly 40 new projects after a corporate transformation and lacked a unified way to manage them. Project managers were using disparate spreadsheets and tools, which made portfolio oversight, consistent governance, and biannual user recertification audits slow, costly, and impeded leadership’s ability to make timely strategic decisions.

The PMO adopted Smartsheet—using Control Center, templates, dashboards, workflow automation, and Data Shuttle—to build a low-code, scalable PPM solution. This centralized project tracking and reporting, let template changes cascade across projects, automated audits (cutting audit time from about three months to a month and a half), eliminated external survey costs, and gave leaders real-time visibility to prioritize work and remove roadblocks.
