SAP Ariba and SAP Fieldglass, part of SAP’s procurement and external workforce business, needed a way to roll out a global skills-management program for 15,800 employees and manage large, distributed assessment data more reliably than with spreadsheets or traditional PM tools. Using Smartsheet as a single source of truth, the team consolidated data into 50+ sheets and 15+ dashboards that auto-update, cut reporting errors, and make dashboards easy to replicate for new regions or teams. Results include faster report creation (dashboard builds in hours vs. six+ hours with Excel/PowerPoint), reduced manual updates, fewer report requests, measurable time savings (roughly halving update effort), and improved visibility that drives more frequent assessments and better matches between employee skills and learning opportunities.
