Partners of the Americas supports 5,500 beneficiaries with Smartsheet

Partners of the Americas faced the challenge of managing a complex, multi-year USDA project to help thousands of Colombian cacao farmers adopt sustainable practices and improve their livelihoods. They needed a system to oversee the entire project lifecycle, from proposals to farm activities, while capturing reliable data from remote locations. They implemented Smartsheet to create a central management platform.

Using Smartsheet, the team created circular Gantt charts called Cacaogramas to guide farmers through annual crop cycles and integrated the platform with mobile data collection tools for offline use. This allowed for real-time monitoring and comprehensive data aggregation. The solution gave Partners 100% control over the project, enabled over 25,000 farm visits annually, and helped build a vast database on cacao growing, directly supporting 5,500 beneficiaries.
